Our Mission
Fresh Start Developmental Learning & Fine Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit childcare and early learning center in South Houston, TX. With over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and Texas Rising Star certification, we provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Our Story
What started as a vision to serve the children and families of South Houston has grown into a trusted institution of early childhood education. Over three decades, we have welcomed hundreds of families through our doors supporting children through their earliest developmental milestones.
Under the leadership of Director Sabrina Brown, M.S.L., Fresh Start continues to evolve while staying true to its founding values: compassion, excellence, and community.
Our Approach
We believe that early childhood is the most critical period in a child’s development. Our curriculum is rooted in research-based practices that support learning through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.
